My first time around europe! If I could ever find the words to express what this trip meant to me, they would simply never be enough.

I started my trip in London, alongside two of my (beloved) friends: Nabiha and Ayiana. Together, we visited Buckingham Palace, Notting Hill, Big Ben, Abbey Road (the Beatles rolled their eyes as I crossed it), and all of London’s hot spots. We also took a day trip to Arundel Castle! In a quaint tea room shop, I ate scones that my taste buds severely miss. We took a train to the renowned Brighton Pier. There, we watched and rooted for Spain (the 2024 Euro Cup winners, only we didn’t know it at the time). The sea as a backdrop. And finally, in dresses and fun makeup, we rode on a red double decker towards Wembley Stadium to attend the Eras Tour!!!

And then (a week into my month abroad) I embarked on the solo journey of a lifetime. Yes, I (a girl characterized by her shy nature). On flights and on trains, I journeyed from England to Portugal (⚲ Lisbon and Porto), then to Spain (⚲ Madrid, Barcelona & Montserrat), and to my last stop, France (⚲ South of France & Paris). I watched as Europeans dance on random streets, eavesdropped on conversations, ate dinner with strangers, hit a record of 38,000 steps in a day, and sat in awe about how much wonder the world has to offer. And how wondrous it is to sit in awe…
