Nabiha, Emma, Ayiana, and Casey; those are the names of the girls that, alongside me, conquered Europe: ⚲ Brussels, Belgium – ⚲ Amsterdam, Netherlands – ⚲ Copenhagen, Denmark – ⚲ Berlin, Germany – ⚲ Prague, Czech Republic – ⚲ Vienna, Austria – ⚲ Nice, France – ⚲ Paris, France.

What can I say other than how badly I wish to relive those 25 days? And when I close my eyes, I can still feel it… The rain pilling on my sweater, the laughter shared over a story line given to two bees who wouldn’t leave our crepes alone, our hands dancing with each other to form the perfect charcuterie board, awaiting the twinkling of the Eiffel Tower, hoping our seat reservations (which were assigned to us at random) had us sitting somewhat near each other (and if not, sitting in the trains dining car for the entire train ride), trying to get cats to follow us home, shower queues, freaking out whenever we saw a rainbow, eating the most delicious dinners alongside the most beautiful friends every single night… I could go on and on and on (and on).

And yes, those days are (sadly) over—but they live vividly in my heart forever.

I’ll leave you with this final message; a haiku I wrote in response to a postcard I received in the mail a couple weeks after arriving back to the States.

In my memory
We deeply feel rainbow thrills
And choose to walk home…
